Saint Luke Women's Society

OUR MISSION
The mission of the St. Luke Womens Society shall be to unite Catholic women in purpose, direction, and action in religious, educational, social, and economic service to the Parish of St. Luke Catholic Church, Temple, TX for the greater good, efficiency and usefulness in meeting the needs of the times and by providing opportunities of fellowship, spirituality, and charitable contributions.

• The Women’s Society of St. Luke works in conjunction with other parish organizations to create unity and strength by providing for the needs of the Church, it’s parishioners and the community by involving themselves in a variety of activities which foster fellowship, spirituality, charitable service and altar care.
• A few of the activities we are actively involved in include:

• Sewing Baptismal Garments
• Serve bereavement meals
• Responsible for the Clerical Endowment Cards
• Support all Parish events and volunteer in the areas needing help
• Active participants in Church Women of Temple as well as the Austin Diocese Council of Catholic Women
• Altar Care

• Freshen up the church each week
• Altar care is a a one-month commitment of approximately one hour each week

• General Membership Meeting - held in the Parish Hall on the third Tuesday of each month. Meetings last approximately one hour.
• Scheduled events held yearly are:

• February - Gourmet Booth
• May - Graduating Senior Mass and Meal
• May - Mass with the installation of new officers followed by a meal
• November - Fashion Bingo
• December - Christmas Party
